Welcome to Quiz Battle. We take your privacy and data security seriously. This Privacy Policy details how our mobile application and related web services collect, manage, and safeguard your personal information when you participate in 1v1 trivia duels, group competitions, and tournament events.
By installing, registering, or using Quiz Battle, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the data practices outlined in this policy. If you do not agree with any terms, please discontinue using the service.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect information necessary to provide seamless multiplayer matchmaking, fair play verification, and reward distribution:
When registering via email, phone, or Google/Apple authentication: your display name, username, profile avatar, country, unique player ID (e.g. KB2WX6), and referral information.
Match scores, response latencies, win/loss ratios, current streaks, ELO competitive ratings, chosen trivia categories, and historical match logs.
Coin balance, daily bonus receipts, rewarded ad credits, match victory pots, and cash-out redemption records (such as UPI ID or PayPal email provided for payouts). We do not store raw credit card numbers or banking passwords.
Device model, operating system version, anonymous push notification tokens (FCM), network latency metrics, and crash logs to resolve matchmaking drops.
3. Real-Time Voice & Media (WebRTC)
Voice communication enabled during head-to-head battles operates on peer-to-peer WebRTC transmission. Voice audio is streamed directly between paired players and is never recorded, stored, transcribed, or monitored on any server.
Microphone access is requested strictly on an opt-in basis and can be revoked at any time via your device operating system permissions.
4. How We Use Collected Data
- Real-Time Matchmaking: Pairing players of equivalent ELO ratings and low network latency.
- Anti-Cheat & Competitive Fairness: Validating answer submission timestamps against the server clock to detect speed-hacks or automated bots.
- Reward Processing: Crediting won coin pots and executing payout transfers to verified player payment accounts.
- Security & Account Recovery: Sending one-time verification passcodes (OTP) and account security notifications.
5. Advertising & Third-Party Services
Quiz Battle integrates trusted industry standard SDKs to power multiplayer functionality and optional monetization:
- Google Play Services & Firebase: Authentication, cloud messaging (FCM), and crash diagnostics.
- Google AdMob: Serves user-initiated rewarded video ads (allowing players to replenish free play coins). AdMob may use standard advertising IDs (GAID/IDFA) subject to Google's privacy terms.
6. Account & Data Deletion Rights
In accordance with Google Play's Data Safety and international privacy laws (GDPR/CCPA), you have the absolute right to request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time.
How to request deletion:
- In-App: Go to Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Web Portal: Submit your request instantly via our Account Deletion Request Page without needing the app installed.
7. Security & Contact Information
All API communications between the Quiz Battle mobile client and our backend servers are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3). Sensitive wallet ledgers are protected against unauthorized modification.
